CONTEXT
Rental contracts, returns and collections
PALETRA shows which machine is with whom, when it is due back and how much each customer still owes — on one screen instead of a paper ledger. When a rental starts, the meter reading and photos are recorded, the customer signs on the phone and a contract PDF is prepared. On return, the meter and a damage note are entered, the amount is calculated and a return report is issued; the outstanding balance can be sent as a WhatsApp reminder. Maintenance plans alert by engine hours or kilometres, and monthly revenue and per-machine utilisation are reported. A monthly availability calendar shows which days each machine is rented, reserved or free, and machines not rented for more than 30 days appear as an alert on the Today screen. It works without internet; records stay on the phone or tablet rather than a server and move to a new device with a single backup file.
